you got a manual or auto tranny? I heard that it is not good for the stock auto tranny and that it might go out real quick if you dont get a better torque converter.

Well first off, if you already have tranny problems, then you probably don't want boost, it will just finish the job off... If you do get boost, you need a VB mod, and a tranny cooler at the least... As far as engine wear goes, it will be increased, anytime you increase power like that their will be extra wear, but as long as you take care of your engine (ie, don't drive like a madman all the time, regular oil changes, spark plugs, etc...) You shouldn't experience a serious decrease in the life of your engine...

I meant that I have an auto and the tranny isn't a fast shifting one. It is a 30,000 mi. old tranny so it is fine. I drive a lot of miles and don't know if the car can handle the extra boost. Will I have to change the pulley's as well.

Do a compression test on your car, or have one done, if the psi is within specs for all cylinders, then go for it. As far as changing pulleys, no, you cannot, if you do it will mess up your boost...

:o)

I don't care what you have heard, there is nothing wrong with having a SuperCharger on a daily-driver. Go for it.

wait wouldn't a pulley increase boost? correct me if im wrong but wouldn't it be the smaller the pulley is, the more boost you get?

A UDP will decrease boost, but a smaller SC pulley will increase boost.

Matt is technically correct. Changing the SC pulley will mess up boost... for good at least.

I thought he was talking about the crank pulley, ie: UDP, not the S/C pully, changing that is a good thing...
