'04 tiburon for $312/m

i was looking for a cheap ass car in the paper and i found a bunch of cars under a grand but the one that grabbed my attention the fastest was an '04 tibby(my nickname for tiburons) for $312 a month. i dont know if i can even aford it til the summer but would it be a good idea?

its a gt v6 with a 6 spd manual trans(perfect for a turbo)

or should i go with a '91 eclipse 4cyl 5spd for $650.

Re: '04 tiburon for $312/m

dont be tricked into getting a car based on monthly payments, figure out the price of the vehicle to finance then work out terms for the finance...if you say "its only 239 a month or 169 or 319" or whatever, it doesnt mean anything, what is the finance period in terms of months/years, what options, what is the down payment, what is the payment remaining? dealers love giving you "only 149 a month" but then its for like 72 months and 10 000 after the lease or something

v6 tiburon? (also called the tuscani in the US with a v6)

i think thats a decent deal for the v6, the 4 cylinder engine is same as the one in the elantra, while its quite fast, its not what id call sports car engine (although it isnt sluggish)
