mpg question

So I have been looking to buy a GTI or just a regular Golf. But i was wondering what gas mileage some engines get. can you share your MPG on the standard 2.0 litre 4 cylinder, VR6, or 1.8T engines. i'm really interested in the 1.8T is there is anything else i should know about that engine. thanks

1.8t avg 22-26mpg
vr6 avg 26-30mpg

Re: mpg question

Hey, I've owned a Golf 1,8t for 2 years now and track my consumption month to month. I average 3000km (1800 miles) per month and run my trip computer for the same period. I religiously get around 8.3l/100km. (if my calculations are correct that's around 33Miles/gallon) This is on a mix of town, open road, easy and hard driving. At a constant 100MPH on the flat consumption on my vehicle is around 26MPG. My Golf is stock as my job requires me to live on the road. Hope this helps!
