What is the proper spark plug gap for '98 3.8L?

The manual says .052 to .056 however on Rock.com it says .044 for Autolite plug APP765 and Motorcraft SP486. Which is it?

The best place to look is under the hood on the sticker of your van it will tell..The info shows what type of freon your van uses and other emissions info..And spark plug gap.. the .052 -.056 is about right. I start with the lower gap ,do to the gap will increase over time on its on.I always gap my own plugs. Dont trust pre gap plugs..
