Man, they attacked my fender, too! The trees are getting a lot more aggresive these days... Must be the acid rain.

Be careful on that last plug. I had a friend strip a head on his Frontier trying to replace it. I have a huge shop at my disposal and neither myself or the techs that work there could figure it out. I spent the money on the half hour of labor and sent it to a local Nissan dealer. I figured it was better to spend $30 or so for the install than several thousand to repair the head. Since it only happens once every 45 to 50,000 miles, it was worth it in my opinion.

Cross threading is what I fear most and it's not hard to do on an aluminum head. I think i'll let the dealer deal with it and I'll do the rest. Problem with the dealer is I never know if they really do it.

Brent: Thanks for the link! I'll think about it, but it looks pretty scary to me.

Another handy thing is to get a length of hose with an inside diameter the same as the ceramic on the plug. Put the hose over the plug and it will hold it, then you can use the hose to guide the plug and begin to thread it in. Once you're sure it is threaded properly, yank the hose off and get the socket after it.

I don't think there's room to get an inspection mirror down there!
