Roof leak............????????????

I own a 1990 Olds Delta 88. About a year ago the windshield or???? starting leaking. Thinking it was the windshield I took it to a glass replacement place. Now five R & R's later the leak is still there. Also took it to a Body Shop and got the weld where the windshield sits redone they have also removed the headliner so we can see what is going on. So on the last rain storm I sit it the car and I see five different places where there is an actual drip happening and about four places where I can see seepage. So now the windshield place is blaming the body shop and the body shop is blaming the glass place. SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone ever had a problem such as this and are we looking in the right direction. What could these places not be doing right.

HELP...

Welcome to AF, does it have a vinyl roof. Keep in mind from this desk we cannot water test your car, my similar car did the scam thing and it was due to the padded roof fit at the w/s area, never corrected it.

Thanks for your speedy reply....Yes it has a vinyl roof. So where would I start to get the padded roof fit corrected. Or is this something that the glass replacement guys need to do???

Padded roof must be peeled back and look for rust under the leading edge, good luck finding someone to do this, just keep asking around the body shops.

Re: Roof leak............????????????

Well I that's the part they did when I took it to the bodyshop. The vinyl was peeled back and they ground down the rust and refiberglass some spots,,,,,,, then repainted. Then the windshield was replaced yet again and now is still leaking. I am thinking that the glass replacement place is just not doing something right. ???
