shock tower brace or not

Hello to all,

Finally my brother decided to go ahead and get the CTS with the performance package. Super nice to say the least. I have a question though that many of you all might be able to answer. If my bro gets the "performance package" does he get a "shock tower brace" installed from the factury??? He and I saw on on a custom version with the 20 inch tires and wheels and under the hood it had the shock tower brace.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: shock tower brace or not

Our 08 CTS with the 360 port injection engine came standard with the shock tower brace. I would not be concerned with having one or not for ordinary driving. If you plan to race, it may be helpful to have the shock tower brace.

Check with your dealer to see if '10s still have it.
