Question elevating roof

anybody any ideas on how to get my roof up? I had my motors seize up and after getting them off i got the roof down with the old rope trick. Problem is - How the **** do i get it up again to replace the motors. It seems to be locked down and nothing will release it. I cant even find any catches! Short of a hammer and chisel does anyone know how to get it up ? Now now - the roof I meant)
