Porsche 918 Spyder Concept
This is way OT, but I know there are a lot of Porsche enthusiasts here on AF, and I thought you guys would appreciate it.
I am by no means a Porsche expert. But I do know this thing looks incredible. Next Tamiya model? :-)

Looks to me like someone put a Porsche, a Ferrari and a Lotus into a blender and threw the switch

BTW: it looks incredible, despite to show so evocative number (just one more than 917...) I would see much more Porsche "sport-proto" appeal.

Re: Porsche 918 Spyder Concept
I'm guessing the idea is that there are cameras instead of the standard mirrors but I don't see space for monitor/display inside the cockpit...
Also not sure what's going on with the wheel/alloys. I'm not sure I like it yet; I certainly don't not like it but it's still too close to a production car for me to go "wow". Concept cars used to be just that; a concept, a test bed for design ideas to their extreme that makes you go "wow" (or "eh?" as it may be...). Then again, Porsche never really did proper concept cars did they?

Re: Porsche 918 Spyder Concept
I think i actually like that style better than the carrera gt. It does have an audi rear to it. Looks beautiful, i would defenitly build it.

Re: Porsche 918 Spyder Concept
For me itīs hard to recognize that unique Porsche-look. Regarding the looks this car could have been made by any other company as well.
Cheers Robert
