You're a liar. You're just recycling a story that's been on the web for over five years now. Whether it even happened to the original guy who claims it did is highly questionable, but I doubt many dealers would be putting the worst of their lot on the showroom floor. Of the many Yugos I've seen none have ever had any problem with door handles, whether interior or exterior. However, had you said the "window crank" came off in your hand, that'd be totally believable... nearly every Yugo I've seen has had broken, or replaced window cranks.

Re: im gettin a yugo
I know there are alot of people out there who hate yugos. Yes they have had their problems. But, for the money they were pretty good. The first new car I bought was right out of boot camp, a 1988 yugo GV, $4300 brand new. Considering the little 4 banger with just a 4 speed it ran pretty strong. I used to trave; between florida and texas every month. I would top out on the freeway at 115mph! And it held the road alright. When I got out of the Navy and came home to Montana, it had a shade over 200k miles on it. I bought a new car and used the yugo for a thrasher. That ugly little sucker couldn't be stopped in the mountains, mud, or snow. It would go every where. It died with 324k on it after I busted a hole in the pan and drove it home with no oil. I got my money out of it. The only problem I had was I lost the tranny at @ 5000 mi. But that was it. I figured out why the mechanics hated them so bad, all parts had to be ordered, it took 6months to get them. As far as window handles etc. The yugo was imported bare, the way it was sold in Yugoslavia at that time. No carpet, door panels,no radios, no instrument cluster. The seats were wire mess type, no cusion or cloth. All trim and upholstery, dashes, and electrical had to be added for the extra options, all of that was added by an american company here in the states. For the money it was not too bad. You can't expect Rolls quality at a go-kart price.
