Re: Anyone got one of these..?

as for the caldina engine.
it's the current gen 3s-gte... the block is the same and it bolts in using the same mounts. just remove the power steering pump and move the alternator to where it used to be.

problem is the computer.

as for the caldina GT-T 3s-gte putting out 225hp, you should probably get that checked.
2nd gen 3s-gte (JDM) 225hp (ST185)
3rd gen 3s-gte (jdm) 245hp (ST205)
3rd or 4th (depending who you want to believe) 255hp(ST215)
3rd or 4th again 260hp(st246)

you should have 255hp.

Re: Anyone got one of these..?

so what makes you so sure the cheap racing mod netted you 20hp if you haven't dyno'd it?

Re: Caldina GTT Specs

hey mate if its a 1996-2000 its a 3sgte engine st19 i think but def on the 3sgte engine as for mods a boost controller is a definate i paid $75 nz for mine installed very easily from trade me also a blow off valve the factory one is ok but just not noisy enough king spring lowering springs depending on how much money you want to spend on the car maybe front mount the intercooler (VERY EXPENSIVE) i think that thats really all the caldina GTT's need they are VERY FAST CARS 14 second 1/4 mile i have been told. My boost controller is a Go Fast Bits Manual Boost Controller works very well but with a boost controller i DEFINATLY recommend you get a boost guage aswell as to not destroy the turbo with to much boost even if you don't install the guage and just hook it up to set the boost anyways good luck with it mate cheers.

Re: Anyone got one of these..?

st195 st215 or if its the new model its st245.

3rd or 4th gen 3s-gte.

make sure you run the highest octane fuel you can and be wary bout putting too much boost in as with a 9:1 compression ratio you might kill your engine. (previous 3s-gte revisions were at 8.2:1 or 8.5:1).

sure boost controller is good but i'd be starting with stuff like the air filter and exhaust. The caldina has a top mount intercooler (interheater) so think about a front mount if you have the cash or even a water spray unit to try and get more out of it. suspension.
