Question Dimmer Switch Replacement

The switch that changes between high beam lights and low beams is dead. Its the one on the signal arm, where you pull it towards yourself to toggle it. Has anyone changed one of these? how hard is it? should i just get the dealer to do it?

Screw the dealer and their $70/hour charges.

I don't know about the Caprice, but if it's anything like the Fords...
Take off the steering column cover (shoud be some screws on the underside), and you'll notice about 2-3 screws holding on the signal mechanism. You merely take it off, and put on the new one. Simple!
