Clear stryene?

Does evergreen make clear stryene? I don't recall seeing any at my LHS. I need some for my back window of my custom 510 Wagon I'm building. Pictures will be coming soon, as soon as I can resize them.

Yes, Evergreen does make clear "styrene", but I think it is actually acetate... Nothing wrong with that, but acetate cracks easily. You might try Squadron Signal Clear Thermoform. It's a clear plastic used by airplane modelers to duplicate canopies. It is available in some hobby-shops, and at www.squadron.com.

Hmm.. about Evergreens clear styrene.. is it TRANSPARENT? Like glass? Or is it foggy (white) I remember I picked up a pack and put it back down because I tried looking through it and couldn't see through it..

It's as clear as glass.

There's two sheets per pack, with a protective sheet of wax-like paper between the sheets. You were seeing the sheet of paper. Cheers!

Re: Clear stryene?

well it's not 100% clear, there is some white dot in it, but it's better than nothing.. if you need to replace a window, it's the best and cheapest way to do it (about 1$ by sheets)

Is the clear styrene any good for bodykits and such? I have a few clear sheets, but I'm not sure how well they'll work for the basis of basic body mods, ie, wide body, lipspoiler etc.

Thanks

BTW, sorry for stealing this thread.

you better use normal styrene for that.. it's the same price and work really good (I'm working on a Skyline V35 right now and god it modified with .10, .20 and .30 styrene sheets)
