Help Toyota Mark II JZX110 Check engine on TRC blinking
Hi there
its my first time here and find the forum very interesting and helpful. im living in Tanzania, Africa, owning a Toyota Mark II IRS, JZX110 D4 vvti engine. i recently noticed a check engine light on and trc light blinking when the car engine get stressed or driven for say 10km.it may go off after 5-10minutes and sometimes may last for 20minutes+.when the lights get on, the idle is rough, rpm gets between 600 to 1000. i always use high octane gasoline and change oil after every 3000km. access to quality motor vehicle service is trick here but i have some basic skills in car mechanics.any one to assist please |

Re: Help Toyota Mark II JZX110 Check engine on TRC blinking
actually i conducted a manual diagnosis through OBD port (got instructed by toyota technician - linking port #4 and 13, followed by reading the pattern of the on dash light flash when switch is on, very interesting) replied to them my findings and mentioned error 96; said possibly oil clog at the vvti line (OCV). i popped the hood and took the mesh off, it was not clogged (simple to say), tried reconnecting the sensor ports too. tried the engine on and a little drive but still lights are on
