Yenko Vega Stinger

Yenko Vega Stingers were built by the Yenko dealership and featured a turbocharged 4-cylindger engine good for 155 horsepower. It also had custom body work and decals and some suspension and exhaust modifications. It was built from 1971 - the mid 1970s.

Weight

I think around 2,700 lbs. - pretty light for that era. And yes, turbos (and superchargers) have been around a long time.

Since the turbo-charged WWI planes, and even before, when the word "turbo" was derived from the airplane "turbines".

His point is, that the power adders such as turbochargers and superchargers have been in use since the WWI Airplanes.

It's a particular dealership, that made upgrades to the vehicles. Same as the Berger cars...

don yenko owned a chevy dealership, and in the late 60s early 70s, he would bring in new cars and put 427s in most of them, stripe them up and trim them out, then sell to the public, some of the yenko camaros that cost 4-6000 bucks then are worth hundreds of thousands now. also berger and nickey chevy did the same.

vegas were and still are nice cars

I Myself own a 1972 vega GT, I was very lucky to find this gem, and let me tell you I would'nt sell it for the world
This car did originally have a 4 cyl but I replaced it with a 350 I took out of a 1978 corvette, and did many mods to it. It still needs some paint but its an all around badass car.
If any of you have the chance to buy one, take it
