Suzuki Swift 993 cc Auto Choke or Throttle Cable Problem?

Hi,

I have a Suzuki Swift 993 cc (Injection) and have noticed the following recently.

Even when engine is at full operating temperature, when I come to a stop the engine still revs around 2500 rpm for a few seconds (4-5 secs) then revs reduce to around 1000 rpm (Idle).

Why is it sticking (over revving), does it sound like an automatic choke problem or a sticking throttle cable?

It is quite dangerous especially in the icy weather as when I take my foot off the accelerator the engine races for a few seconds before the engine slows.

Cheers!!

That's too dangerous. May be you come and visit the store on where you bought the car. Maybe also it has already a problem before you bought it.
