EGR replaced but engine light still comes on code shows EGR problem.

I have a chevy impala 2002, 3.4 The engine light came on indicating a EGR problem. I replaced the EGR valve, reset the computer and drove the car a few miles. The engine light came back on. Had it check and it's still showing a code for the EGR. What else could cause this EGR code to come on? Your help will be apreciated. I hope I posted this correctly. Thanks.

I would pull it and make sure the opening is clean for the valve especially if it is a low flow code. If its electric like my 5.3L I would check all electrical connections.

How come you replaced the EGR valve?

You could have a vacuum leak. How's the idle? Any loping?
