Ferrari for Daily Driving?

Hey Guys,

I apologize in advance for the naivety of my question.

I would LIKE to purchase a 360 or 430 within the next year.

However, I would be using this car as a daily driver. I am not fond of hopping into different cars, or driving a cheaper daily driving car, and just hopping into the ferrari on weekends.

That being said, would I be able to put 10,000 miles / year into this car? and if so, what would be the expected range of maintenance costs / year?

Looking at all the pre-owned 360's all of them have less than 1k/year of miles on them.

Would I be better of with a lease?

You certainly can, there's plenty of people that do. Of course you have to make sure you stay on top of all the scheduled maintenances. Everything I've read has always said the Ferraris that get driven the most often have the best reliability.

I would imagine it can get quite costly for oil changes, brakes, tires, and so on. But the newer cars are far more reliable. I would personally get a car for the week and have the f-car for the weekend.

If I were you I'd chime in over at http://www.ferrarichat.com and ask them over there. They'll be able to tell you the pros and cons and what cost you could incur.

Re: Ferrari for Daily Driving?

The main problem with Ferraris is that stupid people get them to 8000 rpm when the engine is cold because when they go to buy bread they have to show everybody they have a ferrari. I hope you understand me.

Modern ferraris have expensive maintenance but if you can pay it and you respect the car, 10000 miles per year are not a problem.
