Re: Aerostar Motor in a Taurus?
I would like to know just the opposite. Taurus motor into an 93 Aerostar. I am thinking aslong has the block and heads are the same. Maybe just have to swap around oilpans and maybe the exhaust and intake manifolds.

Check with an automotive machine shop and make sure your intake will bolt on.
They can give you some good advice and prevent problems before they occur. The bell housing and other parts have to match also. They hunt used parts and talk to other people who have done this or tried. |

Re: Aerostar Motor in a Taurus?
all things are possible
if the engine size and pattern of the bellhousing are the same engine mounts,,ect the intake and exhaust can be swapt about to make it work the ford tech in klamath falls told me that a 99 bronco engine could not be made to run in a 85 ranger,,but it runs depends on determination ps,,it runs well and is still fuel injected,,7 yrs later fiddler |

Re: Aerostar Motor in a Taurus?
head gaskets, intake & exaust manifolds need to be changed. head gaskets direct coolant to return to radiator its the same block and heads but the head gasket is different. not sure if any other items need changed
