different price listings
hello, I did some searching and didn't seem to find the answer. I am looking to replace the rear axle bearings in my 99 s-10, and while searching the napa web site there are a few bearings listed for my truck, all with a different price. My question is why the price difference? The obvious answer is a different grade of quality. but is that really the case? Am i going to get more miles out of a part if I pay a few bucks more?
Thanks Matt |

Re: different price listings
Probably due to different axles that were installed in that model year. I've seen this on other makes, where they use last year's axles, or switch halfway through a model year, or even use different companies' axles throughout the year.

Re: different price listings
ok, I have checked the napa web site again. when they list all the bearings available, they include the ring gear size. all I can find is the gear ratio. I have the gt4 rear axle, with a 3.73 ratio. looking for help with what bearings i need.

Re: different price listings
I'm not the best one to ask, but in your place I'd check with other parts stores also, to get a consensus. Or, if you have a 2nd vehicle, take the bearings out of your truck and head over to NAPA to match them up.
