'59 Chevy El camino

Here is my next model, I love these late 50's cars. What was it about those great fins??

Motor, I added the fuel lines and ignition wires

Added the home spun springs

The color I mixed myself, an old Boyds green with some gold added untill it popped.

Re: '59 Chevy El camino

Well, this did not turn out to be much of a WIP thread. I didn't take any pictures untill it was done. So here it is. I think I could have lowered it a bit more in front. Maybe next time...
All the chrome is Alclad, first time I used it. That stuff is pretty cool.
The wheels are from the old Bandit Trans Am kit, the aircleaner is scratch so you can see the engine a bit better. The kit's aircleaner is huge!

Heh. Not much kit to make a WIP out of. Nice and clean build up. I LOVE the bandit wheel design. So, I think it works well here. Nice job removing the trim?(my 59 had nice trim mouldings on it, which it seems you have removed.) Great finish! Keep up the great work!
