In-Dash DVD player<only plays in park?>

I just bought an in dash dvd player and I was told that in order to have it play while driving you have to ground the PARK wire. I don't see a PARK wire on the wiring harness and its not on the diagram. Which wire is it?

Is it the kind with the screen attached or just the player that connects to seperate screens? I helped a friend install one in his car and it had the built in screen and didn't have to do anything special to get it to play movies while driving.

Re: In-Dash DVD player<only plays in park?>

The screen is attached to the unit (double din) not a flip out screen. I decided to take it to an audio store and have it hooked up. I pulled the stock wiring harness out and none of the wires match up. There's not even a RED power wire. I had my subs hooked up to the stock unit and they had an RCA adapter hooked up and wires going everywhere.

Re: In-Dash DVD player<only plays in park?>

ya i had a ps2 plugged in it for a while then had to sell the ps2 ...
the dvd player is a audiobahn and the moniter is a innovatek...
only cost me $175 shipped off ebay because i bought them seperate... amazing deal considering alot of people have them for like 1000 dollars...
which is way too much ... i love it worst part was paying 100 for the installation :funny: - well worth it
