re:gto engine parts
hi
sorry about the lack of details in the question. I have a 1991 gto twin turbo, recently my tappets have become unbairable. i have had the car checkked out and have been told to replaced engine heads. Now due to my lack of knowledge about these cars I have turned to the internet to find the parts. I would be grateful if you could help me? thanks |

couldnt you just replace the lifters. thats what i did. heads are alot more expensive. the job isnt that hard to do. is something else wrong that you need to replace the heads. let me know. just in case because i have a set of heads. heads are easily 1000 where a new set of lifters is 300-350

Re: Wanted 3000gt Engine Parts
Hi I am new but I have a 3000 GT-VR4 with hi milage and no problems yet (knock on wood). I use a thicker oil and a additive call Lucas oil. You may want to try a 20/50 oil and add the Lucas oil additive. It is less than lifters and less than heads to. But If you looking for parts for the engine I would recommend 3SX Performance. They have the right stuff to go fast. Good luck.

Re: Wanted 3000gt Engine Parts
here shortly, I may have heads for the 91 engine. I am replacing my engine complete. The head have the 3rd gen lifters in them and the cams are in good condition. The heads have been recently reconditioned, ie shaved, valve seats, compression tested, etc...
