Lightbulb Civic vs V6 Mustang

I have a 1999 Honda civic DX Stock 5sp and I bet a mustang V6 stock 5sp that I would beat him in a street race. How bad am I going to get beat
My friend beat this mustang with has 1996 Neon stock.
My friend 1996 Tiburon FX has stock and ran 15.2 at track then beat my under friend 99 BMW Z3 3.0
What does my stock 1999 Honda Civic DX run in the 1/4

Well a stock EX will run about 16.5 and you have about 20 less hp so you probably will get beat enough to lose your 5 but I'm not so sure what you'd clock. 17's???

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Just a quick search on the web shows the Mustang has more HP than your torqueless Civic.

He'll kill you unless he can't drive.

The DX runs the 1/4 mile in like 17-18 seconds. The Mustang in 15s.

DUMB ASS

If HP has anything to do with it then till me why a Neon 96 Expresso beat it. And a V6 Mustang does not run 15s Smart ASS

Hmmm. You got a real attitude prob. The fact of the matter is that he will still hand you your ass no matter how you look at it. Being an ass does'nt make up for the fact that your car is slow now come with a little more respect for people who obviously know more than you and are willing to except the fact that a Civic DX ain't shit.

My DX hatchback's best run was a 17.1 with intake header and exhaust, and I pushed a perfect run. Mustang V6's run mid-low 16's (from what I've seen) unless he can't drive, like said above. Now I have a type R engine

You start calling a moderator a dumbass is not a great introduction for you. If you RE-READ what I said I said

Also realize the Neon is like 200-400lbs lighter than our Civics. Weight also has alot to do with things - plus Neons have more torque than our Civics.

So please grow up before calling people names like a childish punk.

the espresso if my memory serves me correctly is a DOHC, and is a speedy little SOB ... can't remember the times of the top of my head though... they are a good base to start with though because they do push alot more torque than our hondas unfortunately

Neons break down like hell. My friends 99 neon, engine blew up at only 17,000 miles. What the hell is that? his pistons and rods shot straight into his oilpan. The worst site ever. I have about 4 other of my friends selling their neons for 2000-3000 bucks for a fucking 98-99.. What does that say.. My friend linette INSULTS her car and cant wait to get rid of the shit. And as for a FUCKING NEWBIE TO COME IN HERE AND START GETTING AN ATTITUDE WHEN HE NEEDS HELP? HAHA what a pretty sight. ESPECIALLY to a mod... thats way too funny... Simple as this... YOUR CAR WILL LOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE TO HIS MUSTANG!
