Any cheap 88 Cressida mods?
Looking to mod on a 5mge but with a budget. Already replaced stock air filter with a k&n, removed the restrictive filter housing, air resonator and muffler. Tops out at 125mph. Next thing I plan to do is remove/disable the egr, but don't know how. Open to any and all suggestions.

Re: Any cheap 88 Cressida mods?
HA HA HA HA!! YOu can top that fucker off at 150 if you go full speed off a cliff!!! Thats a cheap mod.
If you remove or disable the EGR, good chance your car can do two things, 1 run like shit 2 run like shit and throw a MIL light. And another guy whos on a budget! lovely! My favorite expression is the only bolt ons that are going to do a thing are jet engines, and those arent cheap! YOu will NOT get any appricable gains with bolt on modifications! Your budget already sucks cause you have a budget! Save your cash from your 'odd jobs' man whoring or whatever you call it, and have your engine itself modified. Get higher compression with a different head gasket, or stroke the damn thing. Cheap mods are non existant, sorry to bust your balls, but you will run into that alot. As far as stuff for your model specifically, who knows, they have been out of production a long time, and thre is little interest in it. However, if a person were to make it a project for himself, it could very well become an excellent sleeper, and maybe a good article for a mag. But thats unlikely. |
