what do you think of this system?

ok,. I hope to soon get an integra again, my last one was the most fun car to drive out of the 10 ive owned in my 2 years of driving so I am going to get another one now.

I want to get -

Alpine CDA-7893
JBL BP1200.1
2 Audiobahn Alum12Q's
big ported box tuned to 37 Hz
JBL LC-A504
Alpine Type r components in front
kenwood excelons in back

anyone have any complaints about any of these components. and I am planning on having lots of people tell me no audiobahn but that is the one thing I am set on. Ive had the model below those once and thought they were very good for such an affordable price.

and later I hope to put in a dvd player, 5.6 tv's in headrests, and xbox.

Just my opinion, but I would stay away from Audiobahn subs. The ones that you have would require much more power than that JBL Amp would put out. I would keep the amp, but just go with a single sub (an Adire Audio Brahma 12 or 15 would be nice!) And I would go with a differant set of components, Look into either Crystal or Infinity. Thats just my opinion!

I was thinking of maybe infinity kappa components as well. but no, that amp would power those fine, a jbl 300 watt sub powered my 2 audiobahns decently and they were 700 rms each. it also powered 2 12w3's nicely. I did only have probabl;y about 600 watts to my othewr 2 when running my amp and It was fine.

There some particular reason you want a big ported box tuned to 37hz? The ALUM series from audiobahn was intented for more "cleaner" sound - well, that as much as an aluminum cone can give you. But I agree with not keeping them, not because they arent any good but sounds like you are looking for something these woofers wouldnt be the best at.

What exactly are you looking to get out of your system, and how much you want to spend? Installing it yourself or having a shop do it?

I dont take my caqr anywhere to get stuff done, unless it is major, installed every system ivce owned, remote start, alarm, remote windows myself before.

and they are going to be in a big ported box because even the subs that werent meant for SQ soundd good enough for me in a ported, so I think their SQ series of subs would sound good enough too, and being ported it should be louder.
I just chose 37 cuz that is what I tuned my last box to for the others and it sounded good and was loud and clear.

Aight

That should be alright, I would suggest puttin those alums in a sealed box, though. With alot of power those alums will slame tight. the JBL will be able to run em' but you might even want to get another amp to really serve them justice. :sun:

yeah, but my ears hurt after a while of listening top one high excursion ported off of like 600 watts. I also want yto get a jbl amp just cuz true 1411 watts for 275 bucks is very hard to beat. I guess one on each sub, a bit to much power but that can be dealt with, but I wouldnt be able to hear after a week cuz I like to show off my system.
