New 2 the VR-4

Hi there, I just recently bought my Vr-4 and love it... got one heck of a deal too... but i wanted to ask you guys, since you actually seem to kno what your talkin bout, unlike some of the other forums i've been on...
Basically, im on a fairly tight budget, but i kno theres stuff i can do, mod wise
I was wonderin if you could tell me some in expensive mods, and where to get stuff for em.... I'm lookin for a decent Turbo timer and a decent boost controller for a good price, and suggestions? also any one kno how much boost you can actually pull w/ the stock turbos, and the stock fuel pump, cuz i kno its more tha 12-14 lbs. any other suggestions for inexpensive mods?

Also, ive heard both, and i need clarification, i have a 1993 TT vr4, some ppl say mine has a recalled transfer case, and others say i dosent i jus wanna kno for sure, Thanx alot, Ryan

Re: New 2 the VR-4

Read up the FAQ. You'll learn tons. Also another informative site is 3si. Some people, like myself make there home over there and it is filled with very informative knowledgable people.

QUirck run down for you though

Stock turbos, stock fuel, etc you dont want to run more than 14.5 psi
For boost controller get a voodoo MBC off of ebay. Trevor from 3si ran a 10.3 using one. They are only ~$20 too.
yes the vr4s have a recall on the t-case
turbo timers isnt 100% necessary. I got mine for my Talon off ebay. It was a greddy black. I paid like $80 shipped.

91-93 3000GT VR4s and Stealth RT/TTs have a recall on the transfer case.

Re: New 2 the VR-4

there are 2 really cheap mod amlost free it's called the free boost mod and the free short shifter. the reason i say almost free is becuase time is money and u have to buy tools to do it haha look in the FAQ and it will tell u how to do it.
