I'm confused....sound quality and that stuff you just listed are basically polar opposites are you actually going for sound quality or just something that won't be constantly bottoming out and distorting?

oops..
yeah... that's what i mean. not SQ i guess, i wanted a system that's just good quality with a balance of SQ and SPL. '...just something that won't be constantly bottoming out and distorting.' ^ you've got it. |

Subs= 3 DVC 10" SX10D4 Directed subs
Amp= d2400 Directed Audio digital amp with remote gain Enclosure would could easily be either a sealed box @ about 1.5-2cu/ft or a ported box @ 2.25-3.5cu/ft being tuned to 35htz depending on what you really want this to hit the hardest at. You should have enough left over to buy a small amp and componet set for the fronts which will be very important so the system doesn't sound too back heavy. What ever you do remember that the install and the enclosure are the 2 main important things that you can not over look. I hate it when I see people buy half decent stuff then through it all in with cheap wires and a prefab box. It almost never fails that they then ask me why "cheaper" system sounds so much better than theirs

Re: What can I get for $1500?
PONCHO STFU!!!!!!!!!
U n3ed 2 g3t s0m3 reAl St3re0 1n y0' car!!111!!! Directed Sux!!!! 100% pwned.... Looka single RE SX 18.... because you listen to mostly rap XBL^2 will just add to the cost for no extra SQ. so the SX will do fine, since it acutally has the ability to get louder than the XXX Hifonics BX1800D REaudio RE componet sets Pheonix Gold Xenon 100.4 some sort of EQ big ported tuned around 30Hz.... then upgrade the big 3 and maybe slap a new altinator under the hood.... oh and if you get hte componet set and you think you need some rear fill just get a mid quality coaxle and you'll be fine... |

Remember, no matter what you pick, the install is ALWAYS the key to an awesome sounding system.
