2002 gmc envoy want start

hello i need some help i was riding my envoy today and everthing was fine.i made a stop to get gas and cut the engine off and when i tried to start it back it would not crank.ive checked all the fuses there good.battery is good and then i noticed that i could not put it in neutral to roll it out of the way and my radio want work and power windows want work and turn signals want work and when i turn the key on the only light that comes on is the battery light.i bridged the stater over and it would crank but want start could not here the fuel pump run either.

Checked the master fuses under the rear seat also?

yes i checked the fuses under the rear seat and all show to be good with a test light pulled the key switch out and inpsected it and it looked ok i had a gm mecanic tell me today that it could be the fuse box itself bad he said he would come and look at it ill lit you no what he says

now the ign fuse b blows everytime you turn the key on.its only getting worse.

You need a wiring diagram and check that powered circuit and where and what it powers, no other way unless you get lucky and find a pinched or shorted harness.

i think i ran into a little luck today i took the cover off underneath the steering column and the wiring harness that comes from the key switch down the column had rubbed against a metal cover and the coating on one of the wires was cut threw grounding it out and blowing the fuse put a little black tape around the wire and new fuse and everthing is working fine.thanks for the help

i did not find the fuse blowed at first its a square like fuse that you have to take off the top cover of the fuse to check with test light id just looked threw the the little clear glass and it looked alright but i was wrong always double check the fuses.and check with test light
