No sound from front speakers

My daughter mentioned to me that while she was driving, she hit a bump in the road and suddenly the sound from the front speakers silenced. When I checked it out with the key on and engine off, the sound was very faint when I turned the volume all the way up. Rear speaker sound works fine.

I have a hunch its a connection (see * below) but not sure where to look. If the only connection/junction is at the radio, any tips on how to access the connectors within the dash?

* The car had front end damage according to the CARFAX report. At the time of her purchase, it was repaired and looked great. Everything worked fine. She owned the car approx 1 year prior to the no sound problem.

Lets rule out the Fader control.

Re: No sound from front speakers

Perhaps it is. Is the fader control within the radio itself? My thought was that since there was repair work done to the front end, it's possible a connector vibrated loose over time and finally disconnected at the last "pothole."
She said the speakers don't work even when she plugs in her ipod. So I'm hopeful that it's just a connector.

Re: No sound from front speakers

The owners manual should have the fader control for radio.
If not fader, the stereo needs to be taken out and bench tested.
Hopefully it's just a bad connector.

If the stereo is bad buy a new JVC @ WMT, it has both Aux, and USB ports.

Re: No sound from front speakers

You might want to practice on a salvage car at the local salvage yard 1st.
Call around for a radio install, you bought one from WMT already.

I hope you get this stuff fix befor Fathers day.
