Thumbs down 87 crx b20 no spark electrical problem

So the other day my alternator died (it was very old would hardly turn by hand when i took it out) so i used my spare alternator in from my b16 and the car drove fine. but a few days later my car wouldn't start my fuel pump was not turning on. so thinking it would be an odd coincidence that my fuel pump would die a few days after my alternator i started checking fuses. i found that the alternator/seliniod valve fuse was popped so i threw a new one in and as soon as car was turned on it would pop so i unplugged the alternator threw another fuse in and the car started fine. so i went and actually got a new alternator and threw it in and... the problem still occurs exactly the same way and now i am stumped. i tried other sparkplugs, rotor, coil, ecu, battery an nothing, no spark please help.does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
