Finally! I have done what I wanted to do for so long. I have ridden in the new M5.

I drove a BMW X5 4.8is today. Its the top end X5 (like $71,000 new). If there was an M version of the X5, this would be it. Aka, its fast.

Well I just finished my job at the local Porsche/BMW dealership, which I have had for the past two summers for primarily enjoyment. Here is the final list of cars that I got to drive on the road:

BMW:
3 series (basically every model over a range of 20 years)
M3 (multiple years)
5 series (every model, 550 is very nice)
6 series (incl. convertible)
7 series (745, 750, 760)
Z3, Z4
X3
X5 (3.0, 4.4, 4.8)
drove a M5 in the lot, and got to see some M6's and a couple Z8's

Porsche:
911 (997 Carrera, S)(996 Carrera, S, Turbo, Turbo S)
Cayenne (reg, S, Turbo)
Cayman S
Boxster, S
there was a Carrera GT but only got to wipe it down in the showroom each day last summer and we have had some 997 Turbos

Random:
Honda S2000
Nissan 350Z
Audi A4, A8
'76 Corvette
VW (Jettas, Passats, Touregs, Beetle Turbo)
'82 Mercedes 280 SL (I think thats right)
Lincoln Nav.
Mini Cooper S
a couple Lexus'
plus many many more...... I just can't remember right now

Got to see:
Aston Martin V12 (dont know exact model)
Ferrari 360 Modena Spider and Challenge Stradale
Maserati Coupe
Porsche GT3, GT2

I am supposed to get a ride and maybe get to drive a Lotus Exige in the coming week (salesman's car and promised to let me).

Its a long list and pretty awesome to think that I actually got paid to have this job. It will surely be 2 summers that I will never forget.

I got to drive a 4-4-2 olds the other day,nice red one of course with my dad next to me, makes about 350 horses,felt really nice

The highlights of mine are:
Ferrari 360 Modena, Porsche 964 Targa, Porsche 997 Carrera S, BMW M3 (E46), BMW M5 (E34 & E39), Chevrolet Corvette (C6), Lancia Delta Integrale Evo, Caterham Superlight, Audi TT-powered single seater, Clio Cup Racer.

Yours will grow as you continue to work at your dealership, trust me.

I was just fortunate to work at a smaller dealership and to have bosses that were care free with what I did because they trusted me and let me drive for the most part what I wanted. I once got to take a 911 turbo to drop the general manager off at his house. The same guy also let me once take a new 6 series convertible to go grab him some Wendy's for lunch.

Haha (I guess), thats what I had for lunch today, but I drove my Jeep. The new dealership is BIG ($30 million) and the owner will fire anyone on the spot if they arent working, so I dont have as many luxuries you had. But we do have a 911 Turbo on the lot...

Well now I finally been in a Porsche. It was a black 1984 911 Coupe with the wail tail. And I drove another M6 the other day in case anybody cares (and i dont think anybody does).

People need to start posting in here besides me, its starting to look kinda pathetic on my end...
