Stock Gears On 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 ???

Hello,

I'm curious as to what the stock gears on a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 are. It's not an extended cab if that makes any difference. I'm just wondering if they are 3:73 or 3:42 or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Gears

It may be in your manual. The other way to check is jack the back end up turn the wheels and count how many times the driveshaft turns.

Look in the glove compartment for a sticker that says SERVICE PARTS IDENTIFICATION. I'd guess its a 3:42 or G60. You can match the numbers there with the RPO codes found here:
