2006 Kia Rio LX
Aug 16, 2012 ...... Aloha from Honolulu..
2006 Kia Rio LX My check engine light has been on for about a week. Called the dealer and they quoted me $133 per hr to get code and basic check. Checked around different garages and got estimates just to get the code from $100 to $113. Took it to the dealer this am and made an appointment for basic check in 2 weeks from now. Came back home and thought for a 2nd time, let me check the net one more time. Found this site and took the advise from a poster that he just disconnected the neg battery cable. Let it stay off for a couple of minutes and after reconnecting it the light did not come on again. I just did that and THE LIGHT IS OFF. HOOREY!!! Thanks to everybody who makes the effort to help others, THAT is why I came back and registered and posted my experience. Sincerely, Stewart |
