wont shift
I only have 1st gear no reverse is there a fuse 95 pontica transport

Which engine? 3.1 is a 3speed 3T40; 3800 is a 4 speed 4T60....
The condition you describe shows only in the 4T60 trouble shooting guide....

This is what GM book says for FIRST SPEED ONLY
www.avigex.ca/xport/4t60_5a237.jpg www.avigex.ca/xport/4T60cutaway.jpg .....FIrst item (control valve) is most likely....and requires removal of end cover "only"....but it requires pulling the driver side half shaft as it passes through the cover.
