Wipers are terrible.

I have a 2009 Chevy Traverse. The driver side windshield wiper leaves of three inch strip of half wiped window every time it wipes them. I have tried a couple of different brands and all came with the same results. Has anyone found ones that worked well for them?

Re: Wipers are terrible.

Have you replaced the complete arm or just the blade? Arms can lose spring tension and not keep the wiper blade firmly on the glass.

Re: Wipers are terrible.

Perhaps I'm not being clear.

Blade Refill: The rubber strip which contacts and cleans the glass.

Blade: The rubber strip and its support or frame connecting the blade to the arm.

Arm: The rotating member connected to the wiper shafts at the cowl.

I'm 99-44/100% certain the arm has spring tension, and if it's below spec the blade can skip.

Like many newer vehicles, the arms may be different for each side.
