Is it true the Scion xA and xB have the same engine in them?

echo also has the same drive train as the xa and xb, as they are the same chassis

as explained to me from the dealer, the xb and xa have the same engine and suspension as a toyota echo, the same 1.5 l vvi engine ....everything...i just thank God the car isnt as gay looking as the echo
