2004 Toyota Corolla CE Tire Question
I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla CE with the following tires on it:
FUZION HRi : 185/65R15 88H http://www.discounttirezone.com/FUZI..._p_26-320.html I was wondering if I could replace those with the tires I have on my Pontiac Grand AM, which broke down: FIRESTONE FIREHAWK GT : 215/60R15 93H http://www.discounttirezone.com/FIRE..._297-2052.html The tires on the Corolla are looking pretty worn and I was hoping I could just switch them out. I'm not too knowledgeable about tire compatibility though. Thanks! |

Re: 2004 Toyota Corolla CE Tire Question
Sadly the tires on the Grand Am will be too wide, and too tall to fit on the Corolla.
Tire sizes are list as width in mm/wide wall hight as a ratio of width/wheel size in inches This means the tyres on your corolla are 185mm wide 185 X 0.65 = 120.25mm high sidewall For a 15 inch wheel. The tyres on your Grand Am are 30mm wider, 9mm high sidewall But, same wheel size. They will be wide enough that they won't fit on the narrower wheels on the Corolla, but the side wall will be tall enough that they may rub dangerously even if you could make them fit.
