98 Blazer Dies/Stalls
98 Blazer, 4.3, 4WD. Dies at idle then after re-start idles rough, seems to loose power while driving (but doesn't die). No codes on the OBDII tester, no MIL's, no check engine light after the die/stall event. I've replaced the fuel filter and the fuel regulator under the plenum (gasket also). I pumped gas out of the tank with the fuel pump discharging into a bowl, fuel looked clean (no water or junk). I pulled the EGR and it looks clean. All wiring looks good. Replaced the rotor, cap and plugs. SP wires all looked good. Also replaced the MAP sensor (just for kicks) still stalls. Fuel pump turns on and runs for 2 seconds like the book says it should and I get 60psi on the fuel rail. I giggled the ignition key and tapped on the CPM to see if it would trigger something....noop.
If........it is suggested to be the fuel pump, do you need to replace the entire unit, or parts...and, is there a sensor or regulator at the pump that could be an issue? What about the coil, could this be an issue? Any ideas? Thanks. |

Re: 98 Blazer Dies/Stalls
Vacuum leak? Rough idle is sometimes a fuel mixture problem.
