It was the Tuscan that was in the movie....I think that's what he means.

Not for nothing, But my love would be the Speed 12. That car is just plain mean! Talk about a real neck breaker. I think the older one looked better though, you know the purple one with the blacked out front lights. UMMMMM

Yeah, but you just couldn't drive it every day. Think of the gas, the tires, the brakes, nearly 800 hp at your beck and call... (stares into space) Ya know, on second though...

You lot , u make me laugh

who was it said the tuscan from swordfish was a 7.7??? eh no!!
Tuscans have 4.3 litre engines like the cerberas, and 800+ hp?? nah more like about 400

The Speed12 was never put into production, that was the purple one with the cut up front and the sweet lights. They only car they use speed12 for now is a version of the carbera with slightly diff lights and a hench rear bumper. Its got increased power and that.

TVRs newest model the tamora is meant to be a refined roadster but it still pumps out about 360hp and goes like sheet. I think they havent sorted out the gearbox or the suspension on that car yet
if you want to shift down to go round a corner you have to shift up first to lower the revs then skip down to 2nd!! thats why its not out yet

You americans need to do some learning on TVR dont ya!! the Tuscan S is the newer version of the car it has upgraded downforce but the same output and drive train!! The tuscan R is available in a 2 seater hard-top convertible, a coupe or a 4 seater sports car

Answer to "who owns a TVR in the US?"

The car in the movie Swordfish with Travolta was a TVR Tuscan and for all your information he now owns the car (as well as some classic Shelby Cobras and a 57(?) Chevy).

Ah. I see. I live in Canada, and keep hearing tantalizing rumours about US export of TVRs, including Tamoras, Tuscans and Cerberas. Yet TVR won't return my calls or emails

Oh yeah, who thinks that the old round single headlights look better on the Cerbera and Chimaera?

BTW, rumour is Faisal crashed the Cerbera or something.

Looks like a cross between a viper and a fly's eye.

Too many lights! Call me old fashioned, but two headlights are enough. If you want more, you can have 4, but 6? Come on!

God I love TVRs

i take it you havent been to the UK and driven a car, Let me take a minute to explain, not only is this car faaaar smaller than your viper. Those lights are there for a reason, in the UK we have to have different beams and side lights to you and we even have to have fog lights which i dont think you do, if u see em you have main beam, sidelights and high intensity for fog, the little ones are the indicators as you may have guessed, anyway its kicks ass and just wait till you see on in the flesh, especially in one of the flip colours they have like crystal topaz.... did i mention the interior.... dont even get me started its the sexiest interior going

I'll admit that I didn't think this car was all that good-looking until I saw Swordfish.. since then, well it is tied for my favorite exotic sports car now (tied with the Koenigsegg CC). The lines are beatiful, so sculpted and smooth, and yet they seem to have obvious wind tunnel "wisdom" like the Porsche 911. And yet, I can see how from some angles it does bear resemblance to a Dodge Viper. And I'm glad that the engineers have stuck with the 4.0 liter straight 6 rather than making the jump up to a V8 for this car.

By the way, the car pictured above is actually a TVR Tuscan S, not a Tuscan R.

I like the older Cerberas. When they went over to the multilight arrangement, the car just lost something.

Yes, I know the cars are small. And light. I was commenting on the big gap at the back of the front fender. Looks kinda viper like. Vipers are heavy, cumbersome and have an engine that just refuses to rev high.

I don't like vipers. I like TVRs, because they are everything the viper is not.
