changing a transmission
ok i have seen a post like this before so i know that you can change from an automatic trans. to a manual trans. i asked a man at about.com and he said that changing the transmission to a manual on my 2001 Accord 4cyl. would cost more than $3000 and that most shops would refuse to do this. i was just wanting a second opinion. thank you very much! -D

Okay, you want a second opinion? Get a second opinion. But this time, go to a shop or person that specializes in tranny swaps. About.com is not exactly the ideal place to go and ask something like that. As for the cost, I'm not sure about that price, but it is not unheard of. Just to do an engine swap could run you around 2500 dollars. So it depends on who and where you go. I suggest you just shop around and don't go by what that person said.
