questions about actual 3sgte specs

okay, i just wanted to get a couple things straight. I thought that for the 2nd gen 3sgte for the st185, the usdm motor pushed about 225hp and that a jdm 3sgte pushed about 260hp. but ive seen things that said it only pushed 200hp and that the jdm motor was 225hp and that the 260hp is in the st205 94+ gt4 celicas. not sure which is which, so if someone could help me out with this that would be great.

Re: questions about actual 3sgte specs

1st gen (st165) 190
2nd gen (st185) 200
2nd gen jdm (st185) 225
2nd gen (rc/cs version st185rc/cs)245
3rd gen (st205/st215 (caldina)) 260

contrary to popular beliefthere really is no 4rth gen 3sgte, expect for in that new car there putting out in japan, the caladina (st215) is not a4th gen 3sgte the ofnly diffrence between it and the st205 3sgte is the intercooler....thats it

Re: questions about actual 3sgte specs

the st185 sgte jdm will only produce about 220BHP in standard form...and the JDM st205 will produce 250bhp in standard form....but you must remember that these are the jap figures...they are higher BHP than USDM and EDM cars because they use higher octain petrol in Japland....101ron as oppossed to 95ron that we use.......so if you get a JDM engine and fill it with regular 95ron petrol you wont produce those power figures.

Re: questions about actual 3sgte specs

not to mention they rank their power out put in PS which is a greater value than HP. Which is like 1PS = .98XXXXXX HP. So like when there was a jdm show off a B16 civic doing 230PS at 10K rpms, it was really about 255hp.

91CelicaST: I thought the there is no 4th gen 3SGTE as in no GTEs, but there is the 4th gen 3SGE.
