My 147 from France !
I just bought a 147 1.9 JTD Distinctive to replace my BMW 530D Pack Luxe.
It is Rosso Alfa (Red), with the color GPS. I'll receive it this WE. I'll post photos. I'm coming back in the Alfa Romeo Clan !

Here are some pics of my car.
Sorry for the quality and coulor, it has been taken with a mobile phone. The red of the car is the Alfa Rosso (bad with this photos but better in real !). I took a 147 because the 5 Series is too big, I don't need this kind of cars, maybe later but I'm quite young. And to drive and park in paris especially, it's really borring. The 147 can be parked more easily and is far more dynamic. In the compact category, I think that was the better choice in diesel (very reliable, good perfs, full loaded (gps, cruise, rain captor, abs, 6 airbags, cd, etc.), excellent handling, very low consumption : 6L/100km !!!), etc. I was hesitating with the Renault Mégane II dci 120. But I do love Alfas ! Alorra ! Le Fotos sono qui !

Re: My 147 from France !
Edited your first pic, as requested
All i can say is very ugly car! No wait, ugly isnt the work i'm looking for... beautiful, that's the one Seriously though, very nice car. 147's are great, i love the interior, and as you say it looks fully loaded!! But, i cant see which alloys you have on it... |

Re: Re: My 147 from France !
Thanks for the plates !
Alas that's not the Alloy of the Selespeed ! That's the 15' classic (195/60 R15). Sun roof and leather are two things that I'll miss ! but after all, that's not so terrible. And I'm so happy to find a mecanic gear boxe (the 530d was an automatic one, Steptronic, I really don't like !). And you : Always your Golf ?

Re: My 147 from France !
The Golf is going soon. What replaces it is highly dependent on whether i still have a job this time next month

Re: My 147 from France !
Oh please Stefanel, stop lying, we know you bought a pink car stop telling us it's red!
Just kidding. Anyway, a very nice car indeed, certainly a good choice and it should prove decently reliable, well actually the Electrics are still dicky, but the 147's are very mechanically sound.

Ah yeah ! a 993, not bad
Jimster ! You know what ? I'm going to Turin for 6 month for my studies. Maybe one year if I find a trainee. I will be in Italy in January, all'Università degli studi di Torino (SAA, via Ventimiglia). We could meet !

The search is proving very difficult though. Most low mileage 993's tend to be Tiptronic, and the low-mileage manuals are quite a bit more expensive. Even then, it's difficult to find one that's had less than 3 or 4 previous owners. Some have as many as 7, which is a little too much imo. An early 996 would be an easily solution, but i love the 993. The search goes on. |

And why not an Alfa GTV or Spider ?!!! There are far less expensive (here, in France, you can find it for 10 000 eur, 6 000 Pounds). And it's an excellent car, particularly with the beautyful V6 3.0 !
