Unhappy 1995 g20 overheated

first things, this is my daughters car who lives a long distance away, she described the proble, first she tried to turn the heater on (while driving) she then noticed steam coming from under the hood. she then began to pull over, she said she heard the valve clacking (not uncommon when a vehicle gets overheats)the over heating was caused by the upper radiator hose coming off its mount (dont ask me how). she said the car wont start now, i am having a very hard time finding anyone to work on this car, ive priced head sets and they arent too much different than many other vehicles, i know the head will have to be dyed and also the trueness of the mounting surface checked, im wondering if im missing something, i have some experience with nissan/inifnity (rebuilt a 1988 sentra engine myelf) iany feedbeack would be much appreciated
