Time to replace turn signal/flasher switch?
Started a month or two ago when I noticed the signal wouldn't self-cancel a right turn if I turned 90 degrees; shallower turns would self-cancel. So I lived with it; after all, it's a 15-year-old car. But suddenly, about a week ago, both the left and right turn signals started to cut out after a blink or two. Sometimes I can get them back by playing with the switch, either up/down or forward/back, sometimes not; lately, more not than other. Before I try to find the money to replace the switch (being out of work), I'm wondering if there's something I can do to this switch to try to rehabilitate it. Or is it just too far gone and I should count on replacing it?

Re: Time to replace turn signal/flasher switch?
Wound up replacing both the switch and the flasher module. Amazingly, given that almost every on-line source pegged the module at around $25-30 (given the difference between switches with and without the module), the module turned out to be a $13 part at Advance Auto Parts. So now it all works.
