1990 F-250 diesel, shutdown after 15 mins.

I'm relaying here for my brother who doesn't 'do' computer.

1990 F-250 diesel 5-spd 7.3l, just replaced motor, starts and runs find - for 15 minutes, then shuts itself off.

The old motor wasn't working at all - towed truck to work on it. 'New' motor is same as one being replaced. He and another brother are doing the work.

Any guesses?

That is so familiar, but I can't remember it (brain injury 3 years ago, part of it is dead) so I suggest checking with the super-duty forum. Here is the link

65comet, thanks for the tip. I did find a whole thread about a similar problem, but that was on newer vehicles.

My brother was able to determine that he had attached 2 wires to the injection pump backwards. Once he corrected them, the truck runs fine.
