2007 Fusion suspension squeek

Any help would be great on these issues. I have a 2007 Fusion SE with the 3.0 V6. My first issue is a noise in the front end, seems like it's coming from the drivers side. When I go over bumps it squeeks. I took it in and had the upper control arm replaced and it helped for about a week and now the squeek is back. I took it back in and my mechanic thinks he's going to have to replace the lower control arm too. I trust him a lot, and he said he's only 90% sure it would fix it. I had taken it to a Ford dealership also, before he did the work, and they quoted me for the upper control arm as well. It makes the noise going over bumps and even getting in and out. He didn't think it was a strut, but he said the bushings in the control arms really did not look bad, even in the upper control arm he replaced. He lubed up the bushings and it helped, but not for long.

Do these cars have coil springs still? My sister had an older Taurus where the spring was bad or broke. The previous owner was apparently pretty big as they had a seatbelt extender. I didn't know if something like that could be bad?

I am going to need to do something as it's driving me nuts, but I don't want to keep putting money into it that won't help. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
