Thanks everybody, I'm really pleased you guys like this Lambo. I definitely feel the need to do more at some stage, but the Mairesse GT40 must come first!
Yes Steve, the Fujimi kit does need a lot of work but the basics are good, as shown by plenty of nice builds on this forum. Good to point out that you will need to exercise quite a bit of extra effort to realise a decent result. I'm sure we'll all b e astounded by the parts you will spin up on your lathe for it. Mikko, biggest mistake is the missing front side turn indicators, forgot to make a recess before painting and don't want to use the decals! Also look at the rear shot on my webpage, in particular the fit of the rear bumper on the drivers side. I had to modify the fit because Fujimi had this weird looking overlap. Went together fine but moved when I wrenched it to get the chassis in. That is just two small details, plenty more. Same with all modles I suppose, look hard enough and you'll find something "wrong". What colour you going to build your Murcie, Skyline Fan? Interesting point Jay, wouldn't want Fujimi to think they don't need to improve. Thanks again everybody and Merry Christmas. P.S. Sorry for the poor spelling in this post, I'm writing it in a very cramped internet cafe whilst on holidays! |

This model is in a very exclusive club IMO. The engine bay alone puts it in my personal top 5 ever on AF! Thank you for sharing this with us... Great work!

Re: Complete: Verde Ithaca Lamborghini Murcielago
The baddest Lambo ive seen. The engine bay looks very realistic. Nice job.

I may be late, but I'm full of praise! This one really looks more like a 1:1 than a plastic kit...and that is the best compliment I can give ;-)>
Thanks for sharing and good on ye, Phil!

Absolutely beautiful work! That's one of my favorite colors for the Murcielago. Great photos too!

WOW, very nice model.
I peeped your site too. I love your website and the excellent photos posted. I think I definitely want to use your model as inspiration for a color artwork rendering, do you mind? Thx, Phil al

Re: Complete: Verde Ithaca Lamborghini Murcielago
Thanks everybody.
Leon - how does your Cobra Colors Lamborghini paints compare to the PPG stuff? Purely a hypothetical question since we can't get hold of your paints in Australia. Al - sure, that would be okay. What are you planning, a photochop or something from scratch? |
