Question 240z rb25det swap

I picked up a shell of a 240z I'm going to turn it in to a drift car my ? Are if this is just a straight racecar no ac no power steering and I by a front clip r33 would it be worth it
Or if I buy a swap package engine ecu trans harness what more would I need under the hood like the fuse box but what else is needed? Thanks

i would buy the front clip, it will have all the parts and mounts needed to swap it into the 240 saving you chasing lots of other parts needed to change it over

Re: 240z rb25det swap

Thanks vette for your reply chasing parts is a pain but the difference between 3200 and 1900 is the biggy for me as far as the mounts go cxracings swap kit bolts straight from the rb25 to the 240z for 400 bucks. I don't need stuff like heater coil or the lines ac and lines brake stuff power steering Or the radiator or intercooler I'm going to buy that stuff upgraded aftermarket After all that how much more is in that front clip is needed? Thanks

Re: 240z rb25det swap

make sure you get a complete uncut wiring harness and the maf and ecu and any other parts not mounted to motor needed to run. the front clip would also have stuff like upgraded braking system but your right it will cost more. if you are good at fabricating you could always shoehorn in a twin turbo vg30, they make 280-300hp stock or the rb26 twin turbo that makes almost as much at 270hp
