Re: ZX2 Performance?
Volvos and Civics are so played out I would take a Ford ZX2 anyday their sweet. And also my 95 Thunderbird LX has showed a couple of civics who their daddy is go ford especially ZX2s. Those who think that the ZX2s are a gay are just gay themselves and just trying to cover the fact.

Re: ZX2 Performance?
the ztec engine has kits available in different level racing applications , one for example is a funny car setup using the zx2 engine with near unbreakable performance mods that can be removed from a blown motor and reused. The kit is extremely expensive but puts out 1500hp. It would cost twice as much to do the same to the v-tecs. One other thing , this is a solid car , the lil hodas are lite and cheap and by my standards not made for driving the roads of north americas climate. Also they are high maintenance due to the likelihood of early rust that is soo common on japenese makes.

What we have is a fairly new car to the driving and racing seen, it's a unique car, not a stupid Honda. Every where you go, you see Hondas with big "Chrome" rims, body kits, etc. I'm not trying to say that all Hondas that are modded are peices of shit, but there are so many out there that are pieces of shit it gives them a bad name. Ford, however, doesn't have a bad name to begin with, especially the ZX2 for it is a solid car. You don't usually see, unless it's a civic driver, somebody trashing a mustang. The ZX2 was produced after Ford dropped the Probe which was supposed to be the new mustang. In my eyes, since Ford made the ZX2 as soon as they dropped the Probe, the zx2 could very well be the next 4 cylinder mustang. I've even raced and beaten V6 mustangs (I don't have a prayer against a V8.....yet). So our cars are unique, fairly fast from the factory, and there is already a large amount of performance parts out there on the market.

Re: ZX2 Performance?
Its all in the Ztec engines , you can do alot of different aplications on it. The body is perfect for a race car too.

my zx2 keeps up to friends 91 firebird 305 auto with shift kit up to 60....i feel that is pretty damn good. p.s. any one want to buy a zx2, i am selling it looking at 93 firebird formula 5.7 6 speed |

Yea,
I blew the doors off some clown in a Nissan 240 SX the other night. He was trying so hard, but by third gear, he was lookin' at my tail lights. I got big plans for this car but the money is going into performance mods before exterior stuff. |

Re: ZX2 Performance?
I know my V8 would kick your civics (don't matter what kind) butt. And almost any stock ZX2 would with a decent driver. You can't go by the 1/4 times set by the co. It depends on the driver especially in a manual.

Re: ZX2 Performance?
this is true. The driver makes the car. you could put somebody in a viper say, and if they have a shitty driver, they will lose to a modded neon (I have the video of it too, not my car, but still) That viper gets SMOKED by a little tiny 4 banger...
I have roasted every v6 stang that has tried to race me, and I have only lost 2 one civic, it was an SI, I was stock, he wasnt... (I had the car for 1.5 months at the time) and there was no smoke involved, I made him work for his win. F@CK honda.... and volo can eat SH@T... they are ugly anyway. |

Re: ZX2 Performance?
If you think zx2s are gay then you should try racing a zx2 that has an experienced driver in it.
